Awards Ceremony for that Poetry Consortium thing today. (:
I had the SAT earlier today, and I just got really sick in the middle of it, so after I got home I just slept for a few hours, and when I woke up it was already time for the ceremony, so I wasn't really feeling up for it. When we got to the George Nakano Theatre I was pretty disappointed. It was even smaller than I figured hahaha. It was terrible. And when I read the program, I saw that Frank Jimenez got second place and Mary Kelly got third place. And I'm like "lol wow, I bet Anderson's kids were the only ones who even entered." So that kind of lowered my whole view of the thing lol. But yeah, it was still pretty exciting. I got suddenly nervous when I went up to read my poem, but I calmed down a little towards the end, but not before stuttering over a few words lol. Oh, and also, we didn't get the medals promised to us. Which is ... `nuff said.

After they presented all the awards, some of the people acted out the winning play, which was titled "Her Majesty Regrets." It was actually really cute and funny; I liked it. (:
