Final step in fixing up Grandma's bike. (: Mom finally took me to that bicycle shop on 182nd that Dad was talking about, and we got the tires fixed up. When the guy gave us the bike back, Mom told me to try it out outside to make sure everything was alright, and I was like "No! I haven't ridden this thing in 8 years, don't make me embarrass myself! D8" But yeah seriously, I probably would've fallen on my face or crashed into something.

God, I hate this art class. It's just reinforced my conclusion that I can't possibly go into a career in art. Everything is just so tedious. I just can't draw for something that's so like, I dunno, objective? And I freaking hate using charcoal; it's just so messy and hard to use and asdf. I don't even want to look at this picture, it's so bad. Our portfolios are due tomorrow, so I'm gonna have to finish this drawing in the afternoon. I'll probably ask Dad to help me out with the details.

Mom picked me up after work and we went and got so much stuff; Andy wanted subway (he wrote out this whole list of every little specific thing he wanted on it) so I got a sandwich too; then Mom and I went to the bakery (everything was in the same little plaza thing so it wasn't like we were just driving all over town) and I got some Creme Brulee (since I remembered Traci saying she really wanted some while we were in Europe, and I was like "Ooh, I wonder if this is really good. =D"), and then we got some yogurt. There was a fly in the M&Ms and I was trying to tell the workers, and they couldn't find it, and then it fly out and they were like "WHOA." and I was like "... (:" and walked off very nonchalantly hahaha.

We went to Walmart a little later in the day, and I finally got my helmet! I picked this one cuhs it was the cheapest lol.

No seriously. Unbelievably bored. ): And Khang's not even on anymore so I really don't have anyone to talk to.

Andy was feeling Brazilian so we went to By Brazil again for dinner. It was meh. Top sirloin was good, but that was about it.

Afterwards I went with Mom to drop off some newspapers at the Grandparents' ~

So today was Andy and my first official day (this year) volunteering at the LA Biomed Research Institute. This girl, Jessica (Andy said he knew her from Chinese School) showed us how to get the files from all the shelves and where to find the information we wanted (which I already knew how to do, since they had me do it already last year, but I figured there's no harm in refreshing my memory). Later they had Andy go do computer stuff (which I did last year, and so I guess he was kind of replacing me, which I totally don't mind since I think it's boring lol). There was another guy doing the files thing with me named Lawrence; he seemed pretty nice albeit quiet, and when you have two really quiet people working together, well, it's really quiet lol.

I'm really proud of myself cuhs I was able to find my way from the filing room back to the E-5 room without getting lost, which is saying a lot since I am horrible with directions. 8D But then again I've been here for like four summers, so I should be able to find my way from one room to another by now lol. But yeah, I was kind of amused cuhs this door, on one side it says "Not an exit" and on the other side it says "Exit". And I'm like "lololol wtf." ... Yes, I amuse easily, shut up.

Jen and I got some ice cream from Ralphs and went to Jasmyne's house to watch Superbad. I love Fogell; he is so freaking adorable hahah.

One of Mom's students gave us some moon cakes. 8D

We did two drawings with charcoal today where we emphasized negative space and stuff. I suddenly had these crazy stomach cramps and I didn't end up getting either of them done so I'm gonna have to finish them over the weekend or something. At some point I'm going to figure out how to take a picture of that really cute guy in my class without looking like a complete creep hahaha.

Dr. Mao asked me to go in today to get trained or whatever for what I'd be doing for volunteering, but the girl who was supposed to train me didn't show or something, so I pretty much just did my paperwork with Fred. =P

So yesterday was my first day of art at Elco, and the teacher pretty much gave us this huge list of materials we needed (to which I was like "... adfkajsd;flk"), along with some addresses to art supply stores, so Mom took me to Walsers, and this nice old lady that worked there helped me find all the stuff on my list. And yeah, the teacher said it'd total to less than $60, and we ended up spending over $100. Effff.

Stopped by the Farmer's Market on the way home.

We were gonna get some lunch there, but right when we made an order, Mom realized she didn't have any cash on her. And the guy didn't accept cards or checks. So I did not get my chicken bowl that day. ):

I had this sudden urge to fix up Grandma's old bike so I could go and ride it around, so Dad helped me clean it up and pump some air into the wheels. And then afterwards I realized I'd totally forgotten how to ride a bike since I haven't ridden one in like ... 8 years lol. So then it took me another 5 minutes to be able to ride it. And then I realized I don't even have a freaking helmet so asdf. D:

Went dim summing with Mom at The Sea Empress ~

We stopped by a fish store afterwards since I said something to her about how we have a fish tank that still has bubbles going in it and no fish. So she bought two goldfish there lol.

I never got a chance to make that card for Dad, so I just got a premade one and wrote some stuff in it. Andy and I got him a $100 Ross giftcard, so hopefully that'll make up for it, but I still feel kind of bad cuhs he always talks about how nice the cards I make for Mom are, and this just feel so impersonal. :\

I've been, like, majorly sick since yesterday (probably cuhs I went swimming at the beach. Bah.) and Andy got me some food and soup from PF Chang's. Which was really, really nice of him, actually. (:

October died today. I always knew this day would come, but I didn't think it would hurt as badly as it did. When I came home from work today, Mom had told me he wasn't looking too good. I looked around in our backyard for him, but he wasn't there, so I figured he was at Lynn's, and that I'd play with him later, and I went to sleep. When I woke up Mom told me he was dead. I felt so trapped afterwards; I couldn't really cry properly and I had absolutely no one to confide in (go figure Ken's gone when I really need to blab to him Dx). And a part of me is angry that Mom didn't wake me up when she brought him inside to give him a bath before he died, and a part of me just wants something to blame, but I think I'm just mad at myself for not taking the chance to play with him while I could

Afterwards, Mom and I took his body to this pet clinic to have him cremated, and the whole time I just kept thinking 'Oh my God, I can't believe we're taking him here, I can't believe we're leaving him at a place like this.' I cried my face off the whole way back.

So originally today, Jen and I were gonna go see Up, since we haven't seen it yet, and I've heard nothing but good reviews for it. Unfortunately, I forgot that I was already going to lunch with the fam for Father's Day. But I didn't really mind; I love Shanghainese food, and we can always watch it over the weekend.

Got some boba afterwards. =D Their prices went up though.

Helmrich asked last year's varsity team to meet him for lunch at By Brazil (originally Ken and I weren't even invited, but then Andy remembered that we got out at 11am, and yeah lol).

Annie & David's End of the Year Bonfire was today! It started out a little rough; Tiffany pretty much bailed last minute, and I was like "OMG. THE HELL. D8" Jen and I got there around 4-ish, and only David, Khang, Ryan, Justin, and Brandon were there, so it was a little quiet for a few minutes lol. But yeah, we soon started up a game of football (and omg, it was the first time I've ran since like sophomore year! I got tired so fast! Hahah) and everything just kind of fell into place after that. A few of us went swimming and we played Capture the Flag afterwards. People started arriving in groups and it was great. (:

When we picked up Jen she was dressed like this and I was like "... Huh. That's kind of overdressed for the beach. Oh well she's probably wearing her suit under." BUT NO. SHE WAS NOT. SHE WAS NOT GOING SWIMMING. D:

With Brandon; he was the only one who went out into the ocean past the shoreline with me lol. So much for Khang racing me and all that.

And David; we are the "hosts". Or whatever, we organized it, hahah. (: It ended up being so much fun, we definitely need to have another bonfire at some point in the summer.

First day of finals is over! (: It was a minimum day, so Jen & Tiff and I were planning to go to Umemura, but we ran into David, Khang, Justin, Brett, & Matt in the parking lot, and we were deliberating between going to Umemura and the Galleria (and it was really hot today, so when they pointed that out I didn't feel like hot noodles anymore), so we all went to the Galleria. I guess we got there quite a bit after they did so they assumed we just ditched lol. But yeah, we went and got Mongolian BBQ, and it was good ~ I split with Tiffany.

Stayed after school in the library to write in Ken's yearbook ~ Most epic yearbook signing thing I've done ever, so I took a picture of it. Heeeee. He got mad that I didn't save him a page in my yearbook (there weren't any left when we agreed to stay after school anyway) so I said to write in my insert cuhs there were like 3 empty pages at the end, and he actually filled (almost) all of them! But then again he wrote pretty big so it doesn't completely count lol.

Graduation was at the Home Depot center since our field's under construction; I just came to North for the Meet & Great thing afterwards. Earlier today Mom got me three leis and I gave them to Lori, Tan, & Layne. (: Oh, and I saw Marissa there too!

We filmed our Old Man and the Sea video today. I thought that for the fish we could just draw pictures on the cement and then work the angle to show that the boat was on top of it, so when I asked Jennifer and Tiffany to bring some chalk.

iMovie 08 was a bit disappointing. I couldn't even slow down or speed up the clips or make the music fade. D: I hear it's just that version that sucks, so I'm gonna try downloading 09 later and we'll see.
