Typical day; we have a test for Things Fall Apart in English tomorrow, so we were supposed to be reviewing with our pods, but I was kind of not paying attention LOL.

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

So Brett was trying to mark me in English, and I was trying to grab his pen, and there was some bad timing, and HE STABBED ME WITH HIS PEN AND IT HURT A LOT. ;O; I AM SHOCKED IT DIDN'T BREAK THE SKIN. AND ... I'm not really going anywhere with this. But look at his face LOL. xD

Also, Stover said she loved my personal statement topic which made me really happy because I'm just really proud of my picture blog, and when I thought to write about it, I totally had that kind of "THIS IS IT" feeling.

I feel sick to my stomach.

We got these in 4th period. 8D

CLUE! I loved this game when I was little, and it's just such a cute idea! 8D Khang was all bugging me about running for HC Queen, cuhs he has it in his thick head that I'm deadset on beating Natsha or something, but idek, I just don't really care for it. But yeah, I've actually never been to Homecoming, so I definitely want to go for my senior year. Now if only I can get everyone else to go too lol.

Went to the SRLA meeting at lunch; I'm actually pretty excited about this! Apparently they're doing some practice run on Sunday, which seems so soon, but hey, I don't mind.

... And then Tiffany forced me to go running with her around 5-ish and I'm totally reconsidering this (I agreed to it when she asked me at lunch, but then I fell asleep and was kind of tired, so I texted her saying I wasn't gonna be able to do it today, but then she texted me back going, like, "NO EXCUSES ANNIE. I'M COMING ANYWAY!" And I was like "O___O")

But yeah, it was almost as bad as when I went running with Frank and Ken over the summer. Except one could argue it was worse because Tiffany was running so much slower than them and I still had trouble keeping up. -.- I stopped by Kent's house on the way home.

She also gave me some cookies she made before, which is awesome, because I love the stuff Tiffany makes. 8D And no, that is not milk in that cup. I eat my cookies with tea. |:

Mom and I went to the animal shelter today to take a look around. It's been a few months since Tober died, and it just doesn't feel quite right without a dog around the house, so we're looking to adopt. But omg, animal shelters always make we sad cuhs there's just all these dogs staaaring at me, whining and wagging their tails, a-and ... ;o;!

This dog was such a cutie (his name was Chiquito lololol). ;o; Like, as soon as he saw us, he was just right at the fence, whining and everything. But then he was already 5 yrs old and I FEEL SO BAD FOR NOT WANTING HIM BECAUSE HE'S OLD but we really wanted like a puppy or something that we could keep longer. ;~~~~;

... Plus Andy would've been like wtf cuhs I told him yesterday we were getting a golden retriever puppy LOL.

So I was all for getting a big dog this time, but okay. I'm not gonna lie, this dog scared the shit out of me. But then after she stopped jumping around and ... being taller than me I was like "awhh what a sweetie ~ "

Our Aquatic meeting was today from 1-3pm, and there was a potluck right before it. I was supposed to bring chips, but for some reason I thought that the potluck started before I finished my shift, and reasoned that if I walked in late no one would notice that I hadn't brought anything anyway. BUT ALAS, NO. Even so, I don't think anyone really noticed or cared; Jessica didn't bring anything either lol.

Art: Who brought sushi? Annie?
Jamie: WOOOOOOW.

Just cuhs I'm asian. Classy. xD

After the meeting, all the lifeguards had to jump in the water for a drill or something, and we all had to be able to successfully do a spinal back injury rescue with the backboard or else Jamie said they'd take us off the schedule. And that we only got like two shots and that was it (even though we actually got more). But still, the pressure was on! We were using the white plastic board instead of the wooden one we used when I first got certified, and it was a lot harder to control and slide in the water, not to mention it kept cutting up everyone's hands. I was partnered with Alex Jett the first time around (Nicole was our victim), and we just really couldn't get Nicole aligned with the board, so Art told us to try again later. Alex went off with Shanese to do some other deep water passive rescue thing with the backboard, and I was Nicole and Brianna's victim in return for Nicole being ours.

After that, I went over to do the deep water thing, and Alex and Shanese were having so much trouble keeping Rachel (their victim) on the board! And then Corey told them their turn was over, and me and Douglas went up, and damn, we were pro. I mean, it was really rocky at first cuhs Douglas kept handing Shanese (our victim) to me the wrong way, but neither of us knew it was the wrong way, but Corey kept saying that I was either grabbing her arms or flipping her over the wrong way, and I was like "Wtf! I'm doing exactly what you're telling me to do!" and then they realized Douglas was just handing her off to me backwards instead of turned around like he was supposed to. But yeah, we got it right after that, switched positions, and got it right on the first try. =D

Then we went back over to the shallow end, back to the spinal injury one; I was planning on partnering with Douglas again, since I figured it would be so much easier to work with someone that could actually hold the board up, but then Corey came over and just picked pairs and stuck Douglas with Skylar. And made me their victim. D: It hurt when Douglas grabbed my arms to flip me over, btw, since his grip was so tight; I was like whimpering the whole time LOL. Anyhow, their attempt didn't go so well, and then I was working with Skylar, and she was pretty terrible at both roles.

In my last attempt I was working with Shanese, and Corey was like "You only get one try" to me, since I already had two chances with Alex and Skylar, and I was like "O___O" because out of all those tries we never really got past getting our victim actually on the board. But omg, it just all worked out. I was the first guard, and when Shanese was dipping the board, I just pushed Douglas (our victim) towards her, since the hardest part is positioning the board, and the rest went relatively smoothly. Except for the part where I had to hold Douglas's head still while keeping the board up. My arms totally weren't strong enough to do it, so I arched my body way back and basically had the board sitting on my whole chest. And then it was like crushing my collarbone, and making it really hard to breathe. ;o; But yeah, once Shanese got all the straps done, we were home free. Afterwards we switched, and I had her push Douglas towards me when I was dipping the board too, and it worked. My arms were shaking so much when I was doing the straps though, cuhs I was so tired from holding the board up; I couldn't even tighten them properly!

Anyhow, Corey pointed out little flaws here and there, but said we passed, and that's all that really mattered. 8`D

Shanese was giving me a ride home, and I was waiting for her in the Aquatics office, and there was still some of the brownies that Katie and Skylar made for the potluck left, so I was just indulging on that. It was so good. *___* ♥

I didn't get a chance to read anything for Econ last night. The test was a disaster. The first page was fine, but it just went downhill after that. When the bell rang, I still had like 15 questions unanswered, and maybe 10 other questions that I realized I did wrong and needed to go back and fix. I was still emotionally intact even though I pretty much felt like shit, but when everyone around me sees my answer sheet and gives me a "O_O" look and pretty much points out how screwed I am, that's when I start getting choked up. I ended up staying in the room for another 15 minutes after the tardy bell rang, and just went down the line and bubbling B for all of those. Hendricks wrote me a pass.

I checked my phone while I was walking down the hall to Stover's room, and I think Kent pretty much saved my day with his stupid spam texts lol.

And surprise! Tiffany's schedule got changed too! She's in my English and Enviro class now, which is awesome (even though she was sitting in my seat in English when I walked in |:<).

... And then I promised Tiffany that I'd go to her church rec event thing which was tonight, so after work, after I worked on my personal statement a little, we went over to Guenser Park, where they were doing some games and stuff.

It got really dark fast, and then they broke out the red and blue glowsticks, and there was this huge game of Capture the Flag; Naomi and Jenna were there too. I couldn't really get into it though cuhs the personal statement was due on eTUSD at 11:55pm, and I know how slow I am with these things. Tiffany wanted to stay til the end, so I ended up leaving a little early cuhs I just really couldn't enjoy myself with that looming over me (I ended up writing about Project 365 and finished at 11:54pm, btw).

In third period Econ; Fatemah was bored and made a little snowman with her knead eraser lol.

I was trying so hard to get switched out of this class, but I don't know; I really liked it today. Aileen, Lindsey, and this Rebecca girl got switched in too (now we're at 12 people LOL), and Stover was absent today, so we wrote a reaction paper in class, and it was fun. I found a mole on Ken's neck and he was like "O_O", Brett failed at using my whiteout, and I totally couldn't write a page and a half about my reaction to Ikemefuna's death in Things Fall Apart (I was like "1 1/2 to 2 pages?! Can we double-space?! o__o;") Suddenly the thought of leaving this class for 5th period English seemed really sad.

Oh, and at lunch we went over to the office cuhs I needed to pick up my transcript, and Jennifer and Tiffany randomly started talking in a British accent.

Me: Oh you know there's this little British kid in my new Enviro class? 8D
Jen: Oh oh! Is it that kid in Jasmyne's class? What's his name, London Bridge?
Jasmyne: Ohh you mean Brooklyn?
Jen: Yeeeah!
Me: LOL wtf London Bridge.
Jasmyne: Well his real name's like Daniel or something.
Me: Then why do you guys call him Brooklyn?
Jen: Cuhs Jasmyne thought Brooklyn was in London.
Me: LOL.

Anyhow, I decided to be more optimistic about my new schedule and try actually talking to the people at my table instead of emo-ing lol.

I woke up this morning and literally went like "O_O + O:" when I saw all the fog outside. I was going to get to school and hang out AD around 7:30-ish cuhs Kent asked me to stop by, but I woke up kind of late and we got stuck in traffic so they were pretty much done by the time I got there lol.

... Sighhhhh. ): I kept hoping I wouldn't get one but I did. Also, my worst fears were confirmed when I realized pretty much no one besides the five people that Stover called (plus Ken cuhs he went and switched into that period) got their schedules changed.

... And that is 1/3 of my English class right there. Yes, there are NINE people in the class. What the hell?! I can't believe they actually created a second class just to add three people! I also can't believe they moved five people (plus Ken) from our class to make this second class! I also can't believe that of all the people they could've moved, I was one of them! T_______T

I hate my new Enviro class. FML.

It was Club Day today, and Sobia and I were manning the J's & V's table. ... Which was kind of lame cuhs, I mean, look at our table. We're clearly not doing a great job advertising ourselves. I was looking around and this other service club was getting all these people signing up and stuff, and I was like "... Omg. We should've brought the scrapbooks out here. -_-" I really wish Johnson would've thought of that; I would've ran over and gotten them but I didn't know when lunch was ending cuhs it was a late start and the schedule is different. ... Actually I really don't know why I was doing this and why Bea wasn't. She's the president isn't she.

In other news, I can finish like, nothing. I mean, I know I've been eating less since school started cuhs I have to wake up earlier and I have no appetite in the morning, and then I don't really eat lunch at school cuhs I go home an hour after lunch and I'd rather just eat at home, but still. I'm about 10 lbs lighter than I was at the end of summer, and don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, but I don't know if I should be worried or not, cuhs I'm sure I haven't been eating right or getting enough sleep lately.

At the beginning of English today, Stover confirmed the rumors that the AP English class was gonna be split. I was reeeally anxious about that, since I just found out that there actually is a 5th period Enviro class, and I love my Enviro class! Basically it's because the class is pretty huge already, and there were still a handful of other people who wanted in on the class. I didn't hear all of what she said next, but apparently on the roster that she had they only moved like 5 people (and she was like "Lolol that would be an interesting class. One pod!"), and she asked if we wanted to know who those five people were.

Stover: Let's see. Evan Caparino, Mary Kelly, Billy DeVine, Victor Freight, Annie Che --
Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

... No really I actually shouted that out loud. The universe is against me being happy for a change. ):

It's Dad's birthday today; I stayed up to like, 4am making his card lol.

... And then I had like no idea what to say in the message, as usual. D8 So I just put some corny thing. Parents love corny cards lol.

We went out for lunch in Monterey Park to celebrate.

I was telling Dad how it was hard for me to make his card cuhs I was looking through my camera and had, like, no pictures of him, so then we took a picture together when we got home lol. I fell asleep in the car on the way home, right before we took this, which is why I look so out of it haha.

Saturday, September 19, 2009

Tiffany came over to study Enviro, since she left her book at school and there's a test Monday, but I think we spent more time just talking and looking stuff up on youtube haha.

... And watching Sweet Home Alabama lol.

Friday, September 18, 2009

Mom and Dad had to help Andy move into UCLA this morning, so Dad dropped me off at North earlier, around 7, so I just went and hung out in Barth's AD class lol. Apparently it was Sandi's birthday, and I didn't know, so I just drew her a lot of fish hahaha.

We got our tests back in Calc today, and I would've been happier with my score if Bea didn't get 100% and I hadn't missed half a point for forgetting to draw the hole in a graph! D8

The Welcome Back Assembly was today! (:

I had to hurry off to work right after 5th period; it was the end of their SPLASH week, and Crystal had all these neon bracelets that she was giving the kids as they signed in in the lobby, and there were a lot so I grabbed a few during my break! 8D Corey gave me this headband thing that he or Felipe made from connecting the bracelets together haha.

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Brack had these newspapers during SSR, so I was reading the comics (funny how I'm doing that when we have a test in five minutes lol), and this one was really cute and had Futurama so I cut it out. 8D

We had our review game in Enviro today, and OUR TEAM DOMINATED! >8D It was me, Shannon, Ned, Rukhsar, and Fatemah, and it was just so epic. I got my adrenaline rush as per usual, and I was just all jittery and talking super fast hahaha.

The final score; we were team 4 and we get 3 extra credit points for the test on Monday. =D

This guy makes me LOL. It's gonna be a fun year in Enviro sitting next to him hahah.

Wednesday, September 16, 2009

I spent a lot of time thinking about what I want to do about douchebag friends, and I think what I really want is to make this a good year, and be happy for a change. We don't have to be best friends, and I guess we don't always have to be there for each other. We can just leave off the attachments and we can just talk. And that can be enough.

I got a haircut today. (:

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

We started that mung bean lab today. (:

Everyone's supposed to have a job, so I called labeling hahaha. Kent counted out the mung beans for each petri dish, Mikey & Levi made the solutions, and Erin poured them into the dishes. They were taking forever with the solutions, so I started drawing on the covers. And then they still weren't done so I started coloring it hahaha. And then after we put the label in the dish, we were kind of like "... lolol what if the colors seep into the water."
